Children helping men to pack furniture at Apeldoorn for loading aboard the ship that will take them to Israel. The JDC sent along with the children as a gift all the furnishings of the Apeldoorn home. The children's home houses five hundred Jewish orphans from German DP Camps and Romania, where they lived until they were able to immigrate to Israel. The children are provided with basic necessities, education, and special ORT vocational training.
