Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. Children suffering from typhus.
20 april 1945
Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. Children suffering from typhus. On April 20th the camp was becoming properly organised and the not so sick prisoners were being completely unclothed washed, then reclothed and put between sheets in decent quarters in NO 3 Camp with nurses in attendance. This was to have started earlier, but was held up because the Germans sent over four fighter bombers to attack the water system, electric system and the Field Ambulance.
