Amerikaanse strijdkrachten
1944
Baby German tank captured in France. Two soldiers of a U.S. anti-aircraft unit examine a baby German tank loaded with 250 pounds of T.N.T. which was put out of action by a U.S. Ranger on the French coast. The radio controlled vehicle, camouflaged with straw and directed from a German dugout, was headed for a strong point held by the Americans during their advance from the beach when the Ranger immobilized the weapon by cutting the firing wire. Corporal C.H. Smith, Baltimore, Maryland, holds a gun while Sergeant Henry E. Denton, Bossier City, Louisiana, tests the wire running from the tank.
