U.S. Army Air Forces exhibit opens in Paris. Beneath the giant span of the Eiffel Tower, American aircraft may be seen on exhibit at the U.S. Army Air Forces Exposition which opened in Paris to the general public August 1, 1945, drawing daily en eager crowd of approximately 75,000 people. In the center, at left, is a B-17 Flying Fortress, and at right center, a B-24 Liberator, both veterans of numerous bombing missions; Black Widows, Thunderbolts, gliders and transporters which played a vital role in the winning of the war in Europe also may be seen at the Exposition which will run for two months.
