First American Red Cross club in France opens in Cherbourg. Two girls attached to an American Red Cross clubmobile entertain Allied servicemen at the opening in Cherbourg July 20, 1944, of the first American Red Cross club for enlisted men in France. Actually they were the Cinemobilers of Group B, the first group of the A.R.C landing in the continent.
