British naval Commander at Hankow, Chinese headquarters threatened by Japanese. A picture just received of Rear-Admiral R.V. Holt, commander-in-chief of the Yangtse Gunboat Flotilla of the Royal Navy, at his temporary office in the Asiatic Petroleum Company's building on the Bund at Hankow, the provisional Chinese headquarters now threatened by the Japanese. An extra contingent of 108 officers and men of the British Navy have been sent to Hankow especially to protect British lives and property.
