Kesselring in Italy again - as witness. Field Marshal Albert Kesselring, Former Supreme Commander of German Forces in Italy, smiles at one of his guards as he leaves the British War Crimes Court in Rome Nov. 20. Kesselring, who was flown from England, is a witness for the defence of Generals Mackensen and Maeltzer charged with complicity in the reprisal massacre of 335 Italians in the Ardeatine Caves in 1944.
