U.S. Army Chief of State decorated by French President. General Charles de Gaulle, President of the French Provisional Government, presents the Grande Croix of the Legion of Honor to General of the Army George C. Marshall, U.S. Army Chief of Staff, at the French Embassy in Washington, U.S. capital.
