Earl Warren, Governor of the U.S.
Earl Warren, Governor of the U.S. Pacific Coast State of California, will make the keynote address and serve as temporary chairman at the Republican Party's national convention to be held in Chicago, U.S. Midwestern city, beginning June 26, 1944, for the purpose of nominating that party's candidates for the offices of president and vice-president of the United States. The Democratic Party of the U.S. will name its candidates for the presidency and vice presidency at a national convention to be held in Chicago beginning July 19, 1944. At a general election to be held throughout the U.S. on Nov. 7, 1944, American voters will cast their ballots for the respective candidates for the two highest offices in the U.S. Government.
