U.S. Gen. Stilwell tours frontline bases in Burma. U.S. Lieutenant General Joseph W. Stilwell, who commands American troops in the China-Burma-India theater as well as a strong force of Chinese soldiers, is directing the advance against the Japanese in Burma's Mogaung Valley. Recently, he flew to Myitkyina, to the east in North Burma, to inspect the strategic airdrome captured from the enemy by a combined force of U.S. and Chinese soldiers.
