Ex-internees from middle Java reach safety in Batavia. On June 9, 1946, the Royal Air Force transport Command brought more internees from Djocjakarta and Middle Java to Batavia, where they will be nursed back to health and strength. These people were held in internment camps throughout the war, and have been detained there by the T.R.I. troops since the japanese surrender, living in squalor under awful conditions.
