Rectangular, watermarked zilverbon groot een gulden note in brown, red-brown, black, and green ink printed on off-white paper. The recto of the currency is adorned with an elaborate border. The denomination “1.-” is in the upper and lower right corners. On the left is a medallion with the left profile of woman, Queen Wilhelmina. In the center of the recto is an off-white rectangle with Dutch text and the denomination ZILVERBON Groot EEN GULDEN. Along the top of the recto are the series letter and number over an underprint of the denomination EEN GULDEN. The verso includes a rectangle bordered with overlapping bands with a geometric flourish. The denomination “1.-” is in each corner. In the center of the verso is an off-white rectangle with Dutch text and a depiction of the royal seal of the Netherlands with 2 lions supporting a crown. The item exhibits few signs of aging or handling. A deep, vertical crease can be found in the center of the currency; there is a lighter crease running horizontally along the item.
