In his estate there is a lot of information about the imprisonment of Jews during the war, transports - victims of the Holocaust from Chotěboř, Golčův Jeníkov, Habry and villages in the area (Dobrnice, Venice, Horní Studenec, Leština, Nasavrky, Proseč, Sázavka, Uhelní Příbram, Vilémov, and other). Correspondence with the Jewish Museum in Prague. Restrictions on Jews in Chotěboř during the war. Tichý, Jaroslav (1912 Chotěboř - 1996 Chotěboř), educator, Sokol member and cultural activist. During the war, a member of the illegal organization Defense of the Nation. He was arrested and imprisoned by the Nazis in Dresden and in the Pölitz concentration camp. He collaborated with the partisans and took part in the liberation fights in 1945 in the Chotěboř region. After the war he was a teacher again and a researcher in regional history, especially during WW II. He was a volunteer administrator of the Museum of National History in Chotěboř and organized the local town archives. He was a member of the Czech Union of Anti-Fascist Fighters and after 1990 in the Union of Freedom Fighters. He published his literary works in the press. Some of them were published as separate publications - Defense of the Nation in the Chotěboř Region, In Resistance and Suffering, etc. His mother was of Jewish origin.
