accessible The fonds contains files of the mixed district office until 1868, the district governor's office, the district office and, since 1945, the district national committee in Český Brod, including official books, files and accounting material. As far as Jewish issues are concerned, the fonds explicitly contains lists of the Jewish population up to 1942, matters of the Jewish community in 1906–1923 (inv. No. 915, call number 5/4), files on the Jewish Church (1923–1939, inv. No. 984, call number 5/4, 1939–1947, inv. No. 1088, call number 5/4), and information on the liquidation of Jewish shops in 1940-1944 (inv. No. 1162, call number 15/5). Attention should also be paid to documents concerning religious matters - Group 5 (1855-1898, 1905-1947), education (1855-1898), schools and the arts - Group 6 (1905-1947), citizenship, residence, matrimonial and register matters - Group 4 (1855 - 1898, 1905- 947), trade matters - Group 15, and also association and assembly matters - Group 18 (1905-1947). The districts were established in 1849 as a replacement for the original manor. After 1850, the district governor's office functioned as a political administration office. Between 1855 and 1868, there was a so-called mixed district office in the district, combining political and judicial administration. After the establishment of Czechoslovakia, the name was changed to the district political administration, and finally to the district office in Český Brod. In 1945, the district national committee was established in its place. Bisinger Z.: Okresní hejtmanství český Brod – Presidiální spisy 1868-1918. Katalog, 1974, 268 s., ev. č. 1.
