Between 1855 and 1868, a mixed district office functioned here, as a body of political and judicial administration. After its abolition, the District Governor's Office was established again, later renamed the District Political Administration, and from 1928 again the District Office of Mělník. After 1945, the district office was abolished and replaced by the District National Committee. The fonds contains official documents of the Mělník district.
