There is also a great number of sources for Jewish history, especially the persecution of him and his Jewish wife Marta (born Picková) during the World War II (sections Biographical Material and Personal Documents), and sources for his wife's Jewish family (The Pick family - Documents; Marta Picková-Hráská): It also contains materials for Jewish history which J. In 1935 he married Marta Picková (1913-2001), who came from a Jewish family based in Nové Město nad Metují. In 1931-1951 he worked (with the exception of three wartime years when he was persecuted because of his Jewish wife) in the Central Archives of the Ministry of the Interior. In 1951-1960 he worked as a laborer because he was persecuted by the Communist authorities. Since the 1960s he worked until his retirement in 1971 in the State Jewish Museum in Prague.
