Max Sanders: personal papers

Max Sander was born in 1890. During the First World War he was awarded the Iron Cross First Class and the <em>Ehrenkreuz für Frontkämpfer</em>. He is described in various documents as a businessman and there is a photograph of a shop in Hamburg called <em>Nebel und Sander</em>. This collection consists of mostly original personal papers of Max Sander, a German Jew, who apparently came to Great Britain in 1939 and, according to an unidentified note died, in London in 1979.
