New U.S. Minister to Egypt. Riding in the royal carriage dispatched by King Farouk, S. Pinkney Tuck, appointed new U.S. Minister to Egypt by President Franklin D. Roosevelt, rides to Abdine Palace in Cairo June 14, 1944, to present his credentials. Crowds lining the streets applaud the procession.
