U.S. Army Air Forces exhibit opens in Paris. Looking down from the Eiffel Tower on the U.S. Army Air Forces Expedition, which opened in Paris to the general public August 1, 1945, daily drawing an eager crowd of approximately 75,000 people. At left, in foreground, is a B-17 Flying Fortress; at right, a B-24 Liberator. Forming part of the entrance to the exhibit, in the center background, is another B-17. Black Widows, Thunderbolts, gliders and transport planes also may be seen at the exhibit, which are shown veteran planes at the war in Europe. The exhibit will run for two months.
