U.S. locomotives ready to roll in Africa. Soldiers of the Railway Division of the U.S. Army in North Africa complete the assembling of an American locomotive. They are members of one of the Allied railroad battalions directed by American railway experts, which are restoring normal rail traffic in North Africa by the addition of new equipment, improvement of existing facilities and repair work.
