AD - B 14 Geallieerde acties Daylight Bostons hit home on Dutch Steelworks. The unescorted Bostons of the R.A.F. Bomber Command made la low level daylight attack on the Royal Dutch Blast Furnace and Stell Works at the Velsen, near IJmuiden, on 27.11.42. Pictures taken from one of the Bostons during the attack shows a. smoke from a burst near the coke-oven plant b. bomb (or bombs) bursting among the tanks of the benzel by product plant. c. problably burst near a support of the transporter crane serving the Foundry Basin. The crane, here enveloped in smoke, is seen more clearly in picture C. 3258.
