Glazar, a Czech Jew (b. 1920) and survivor of that group of prisoners in Treblinka who were saved from immediate gassing in order to work in the camp, describes the life of these prisoners, the successive transports from all the countries of Europe, and the breakout in August 1943. He escaped, was picked up by the Germans but not identified as a Jew, and survived the war as a forced laborer in Germany. Originalausg. 188 pages : illustrations ; 19 cm
