Prager Tagebuch : 1941-1942
Contains a diary and other writings, as well as artworks, by Petr Ginz, a Jewish boy born in 1928 in Prague. He wrote the diary between September 1941 and August 1942, and produced drawings and linocuts at the same time. In October 1942 he was deported to Theresienstadt, where he painted and wrote reports and short stories for a camp periodical. In October 1944 he was deported to Auschwitz and murdered. His diary was found in 2003 in an attic in Prague, and sent to Ginz's sister in Israel. His paintings are preserved in Yad Vashem. Pp. 143-162 contain comments and annotations to the diary by his sister, Chava Pressburger. 167 pages, 11 unnumbered leaves of plates : illustrations (some color), portraits ; 22 cm
