The municipality archive originated from the activities of municipal administrative bodies. It contains deeds, official books, file material, and accounting material. The first record of the municipality dates back from the 12th century. Until 1848, the mayor and several councilors headed the municipality. It was divided between two lords. From 1849, Řevnice was an independent municipality belonging to the judicial district of Zbraslav. From 1850, the municipality was headed by the municipal committee, the executive bodies being the board and the mayor. In 1945, this administration was replaced by the local national committee.
