German Settlement Company – Chief Inspectorate in Stříbro, Trpísty/Čeminy

The documents in the fonds are accessible only with special permission. The fonds includes archival records resulting from the activities of the German Settlement Company - The Chief Inspectorate Stříbro. Given the nature of the office, archival records related to the Jewish population and especially to its land property are likely to be found throughout the entire fonds, especially in the inventory units concerning the Chief Administration of Trpísty (the Třebel-Trpísty estate belonged, until 1938, to owners of Jewish origin). However, the confiscated Jewish possessions were undoubtedly managed by other chief administrations within the jurisdiction of the Chief Inspectorate Stříbro. Archival records stored in the fonds primarily concern economy. They mainly include inventories of the land property, often including the farm equipment, seized from fugitive Czechs and Jews as well as a rich economic and accounting correspondence with various chief administrations. The fonds also includes archival records of the internal administration of the Inspectorate itself. For example, there is an interesting material among the non-arranged files under inv. No. 318 - The list of properties administered by the Karlovy Vary branch of the German Settlement Company from 1944, and inv. No. 323 - The correspondence of Chief Inspector Emil Spalek and the attached documents of Count Gustav von Wedel from 1943-1944. K prvním 39 kartonům z celkového počtu 55 existuje interní prozatímní inventární seznam, vyhotovený Vladimírem Bystrickým a Marií Tejchmanovou na přelomu let 1959–1960.
