M.52.DAKO - Documentation from the State Archives of the Kiev Region
 
 The State Archives of the Kiev Region was established in 1922 as the Central Historical Archives of Kiev. As of 1932, it was called the Historical Archives of the Kiev Region, and in 1943 it was named the State Archives of the Kiev Region. This Archives preserves many documents from the 17th century, and it also includes documents from contemporary times; much of the documentation regards the history of the Great Patriotic War [World War II] and the German occupation of the Kiev region during 1941-1943;
 
 The Sub-Record Group includes documentation of the occupation authorities and the local authorities, 1941-1943, and documentation of the Soviet Extraordinary State Commission regarding Nazi war crimes and the damage caused in the Kiev region: 
 
 Instructions of the Kommandeur der Ordnungspolizei (Commander of the Order Police) and the Polizeifuehrer (Police Chief) in Kiev, regarding Police regulations in the settlements of Ukraine, 1942-1943; announcement by the Stadtkommisar (governor) of the city of Kiev, 30 October 1942, regarding the start of the payment of health insurance by citizens, except for Jews and Gypsies, as of 30 December 1942; requests by residents of the city of Kiev, from the administration of the propaganda department of the municipality, to receive property from apartments abandoned by Jews, 1941; antisemitic article regarding the life of the Ukrainians during the Soviet regime, in comparison with the life of the Jews; report regarding the Shevchenkovsky neighborhood in Kiev related to the use of homes, and several permits for residence in the homes that were handed over to the authorities, until May 1942; testimonies of Ukrainian policemen and investigation reports of collaborators, 1944; lists of residents of Kiev who were deported to forced labor in Germany; lists of Nazi war criminals and Ukrainian collaborators, 1944.
