 History of the State Archive of the Public Organizations in the Mogilev Region
 
 The regional Archive of the Communist Party was established in Mogilev in March 1940. Before its establishment, the responsibility for the conservation of the Communist Party documents was imposed on the History Department starting in 1925, and as of 1927 the responsibility was imposed on the Communist Party Archive of the Mogilev region.
 
 During the period of the Great Patriotic War (World War II), the documentation of the Archive was evacuated to the Tambov region. It was transferred later on to the Communist Party Archive of the central committee of the Communist Party in Belorussia. The State Archive of the Public Organizations in the Mogilev Region resumed its activities on 05 November 1947.
 
 In 1982 the regional Archive of the Communist Party received 82,760 files from the Komsomol committees and the organizations in the Mogilev region dating from 1918-1941, which were transferred by means of the Archive of Communist Party of the central committee of the Communist Party in Belorussia.
 
 A branch of the State Archive of the Mogilev Region was established, on the basis of the regional Archive of the Communist Party of Mogilev, in March 1992.
 
 On the basis of this branch, the State Archive of the Public Organizations in the Mogilev Region was established in September 1996.
 
 The State Archive of the Public Organizations in the Mogilev Region became a government organization named, "The State Archive of the Public Organizations in the Mogilev Region", in February 2007.
 
 Included in the collection is documentation of the regional committee of the Communist Party in Mogilev from 1938-1947.
