Volyn regional comission for calculation of damage caused by the German-Fascist invaders
Established in April 1944 as the territorial branch of the Extraordinary State Commission for the Investigation of the crimes of German Nazi invaders and their accomplices, and the losses caused by them to citizens, collective farms, public organizations, state enterprises and institutions of the USSR. It was engaged in collecting documentary information, checking and systematizing materials about the crimes of the Nazi occupiers, establishing the size of material damage caused to enterprises, institutions, organizations and citizens, compiling lists of executed persons and those who were forcibly taken to Germany, war criminals. Registers of documents, statements of material damage caused to individuals, collective farms, state enterprises, institutions. Summaries of information on losses incurred by occupants in the cities and districts of the region. Acts, registers, questionnaires containing information about the executed, tortured communists, Soviet activists, prisoners of war, civilians, Jews. Lists of individuals deported to forced labor in Germany. Questionnaires, testimonies, memories of persons who returned from German captivity. Report on the results of calculation of losses and the investigation of crimes by Nazi occupants in all branches of the national economy of the region. Acts on the detection of mass graves, lists of graves of Red Army soldiers who perished during the liberation of the Volyn region. Lists of villages in the area destroyed during the war. Documents of commissions for the restoration of settlements destroyed during the war.
