No restrictions on access Fragment of a desecrated torah scroll discovered by Max Hausspiegel (later Houss) in the rubble of the Pforzheim synagogue in the days following the Kristallnacht pogrom of November 9-10, 1938. He took the torah fragment with him when his family emigrated to the United States in the spring of 1939.
