The amateur films shot by German infantryman Corporal Eugen Biedenbach of 419 Infantry Regiment record his training and active service in the German campaigns against Yugoslavia and on the southern sector of the Eastern Front. The films also containg pre- and post-war scenes of Biedenbach family life in Stuttgart (where the family of Eugen's wife owned a clothes store) as well as recreational activities. Reel 2: "First cine film (1935)" Family scenes include Erna Biedenbach walking in town (possibly Stuttgart) and entering shop (Biedenbach family shop?). Grandparents with todder Hans-Jorg Biedenbach (born 1941?) with pinafored servant in BG. Erna wears dark glasses in boat. Family picnic in the country. Marching and athletics in stadium. Special open-air exhibition (Sonderschau) of the Deutsche Arbeitsfront (DAF) at the Reichsgarten-Schau exhibition area in the Gruga Park, Essen combines fun fair and circus attractions for visitors (including the Biedenbach family) with static displays by German industrial companies. Family members touring the area, including city park, hiking, and a picnic. Swimming pool. Football match in stadium. Another family outing to a large funfair (Hamburg?) bedecked with vast swastika flags and including such attractions as "Rocket flight to the moon" and "Hollywood on stilts". Indoor celebration with two adult couples, champagne toast.
