The collection includes the oral history transcripts of Ukrainian Jews who were born between 1894 and 1949, recorded by the staff of the Judaica Institute of Kiev, Ukraine, for their project. Transcripts have detailed information about the daily life, religious activities, family life, education, and survival through pre-war pogroms, and survival during the Holocaust and after World War II.

Tsinik Shnayderman (1888-1941) married Maryam Laber (1894-1941) and they had at least three children Reveka (Riva, 1922-1941), Sofiya (1924-1941), and Dvosya (1929-1941). Contains poetry, tales, and theatrical plays. Some of the poetry originally was written in Yiddish and translated into Russian. Most of the poetry is dedicated to the Jewish life in Bessarabia (now part of Moldova) and Ukraine (see poems: Bessarabia, Doyna and Zhok, poetry: Broha, Sidur, etc.) and to the heroism of Jewish soldiers during World War II.
