BBC European service. Mr. D.E. ritchie, Director of European News Broadcasts. He was the Colonel Britton of the V Campaign in 1941/2, and in 1944/5 was the official Broadcaster of the Supreme Allied Commander's Orders to Europe. He joined the BBC at the outbreak of war from the 'Daily Telegraph' where he had been working on the foreign desk. Prior to that he worked on newspapers in South Africa.
