Jacques H. Aa was the head of the secretariat for the Committee of Education under the Jewish Council. He has drafted a large number of statistics on the Jewish population of Amsterdam, divided by age, gender, employment, and so on.

The Committee for Special Jewish Interests was founded on 21 March 1933 with the main goal of looking after the Jewish interests in the Netherlands. The most important leaders of the Committee for Special Jewish Interests were prof. dr. D. Cohen and A. Asscher.
